Finance sector

Contrary to appearances, the financial system is highly regulated. Many laws have been passed to provide the sector with a sound legal framework.

There are various legal texts regulating the system, such as the Law to regulate the Financial System, of 27 November 1993; the Law to regulate the Obligatory Investment Coefficient, of 22 August 1994; the Law to protect the Banking Secret and the Prevention of Money Laundering or products derived from this crime, of 11 May 1995, or the Law to regulate the criteria for Solvency and Liquidity of financial entities, of 29 February 1996.
